It’s finally GAME WEEK in the Southeastern Conference

After a long seven-month hiatus, it’s game week in the Southeastern Conference as all fourteen members prepare to open the 2023 season. Vanderbilt provided the Southeastern Conference with an appetizer to wet the whistle for the hunger of Southeastern Conference Football. All across the Southeast, fans from all walks of life are preparing the final touches on tailgates for the first weekend of football in the South. For an entire generation, the 2023 season creates an unparalleled opportunity to create memories that will impact the sport for years. The 2023 season will be the last time the Southeastern Conference will have divisions, as Texas and Oklahoma will join the Conference in 2024.

Heading into a new season of Southeastern Conference Football, the excitement for the season has reached heights not seen before. Southerners are excited for the season; there’s so much hype surrounding the programs that fans are hungry for each member of the Conference to compete this weekend.

Truthfully, fans are eager to see the Southeastern Conference as we know it one last time. Sure, most everybody will be chasing Georgia in the East, Alabama, and LSU in the West; however, the elusive idea that this could be the year that somebody might shock the world and win the division in route to playing in the SEC Championship in Atlanta has added an extra layer of spice for many. For many, the last season with divisions adds that extra layer of bragging rights; teams will have one last chance to finish as top dogs of their respective divisions for bragging rights for an eternity.

We see the excitement that Southeastern Conference Football fans have for the 2023 season, with the number of schools across the Conference selling out-of-season ticket packages and single-game tickets in August. People are excited about the products they expect to see from their respective programs. Take a program like Mississippi State, for example; the Bulldog faithful sold out of the season ticket allotment of 40,000 because they have bought in to watch first-year Head Coach Zach Arnett, has sold them in regards to the program. Not to mention, Kentucky Football fans have sold out of season tickets and have reached the point of selling out several games and have not played a snap.

Add that together, and you get the perfect storm for an unforgettable 2023 Southeastern Conference Football season. Heading into Week One, all teams have the same hopes and dreams to win the Southeastern Conference and have the opportunity to win the Conference another National Championship.
