With fireworks lighting up the brisk Starkville, Mississippi, night, the Mississippi State Bulldogs introduced Head Coach Jeff Lebby to the Mississippi State faithful. Monday night was a night of joyous celebrations as Mississippi State introduced the next Head Coach of the Bulldogs. Highlighted by fireworks filling the night sky, with cowbells echoing throughout the campus of Mississippi State, Coach Jeff Lebby was brought out to a celebration fit for a king. President Mark Keenum and Zac Selmon spoke Monday night about Coach Lebby being the right fit for Mississippi State to take the Bulldogs into the future.

Once introduced by Athletic Director Zac Selmon, Coach Jeff Lebby won over the Mississippi State fan base with every word he said regarding the future of Mississippi State Football.

Coach Lebby mentioned the importance of recruiting the state of Mississippi and being Egg Bowl Champions. Multiple times throughout the night, Coach Lebby mentioned the subject.

In his opening press conference on Monday night, Coach talked about the importance of the next three days in building his staff and evaluating talent on the roster before hitting the road over the weekend to start recruiting for the next generation of Mississippi State Football. In terms of his staff, Coach Lebby mentioned he would like to have an idea of that filled out before the weekend.

For recruiting, Coach Lebby will likely start hitting the trail this weekend in Oxford, Mississippi, at Vaught Hemingway Stadium at the 2023 Mississippi State Football Championships. From there, expect to see Coach Lebby and his staff make their way around the Southeast at several state championships representing the Mississippi State Football brand. In his opening press conference on Monday night, Coach Lebby mentioned he will reach out to all of the 2024 commits to offer them a steady hand in this process.

As far as why Mississippi State, Coach Lebby talked about the leadership of Zac Selmon and Mark Keenum; he also mentioned the Bulldog Initiative, geared towards helping Mississippi State reach a new potential that many thought impossible under previous coaching staff.
