For the third time in school history, the Ole Miss Rebels are heading to Atlanta, Georgia, to close the season in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. Ole Miss will be a part of the New Year Six grouping, where the Rebels will play Penn State on December 30th inside the Mercedes Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. Ole Miss last played in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl in 2014, where the Rebels lost to TCU 42-3.
With a Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl bid, Head Coach Lane Kiffin has taken the Ole Miss Rebels to two New Year Six Bowl games in his four seasons as Head Coach of the Rebels. The first New Year Six Bowl game came in 2021 when the Rebels accepted a bid to the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, where they got beat by the Baylor Bears.

For this go around, Ole Miss will play an opponent for the first time in school history, the Penn State Nittany Lions, Coached by James Franklin. James Franklin, the former Head Coach at Vanderbilt, has a winning record over the Rebels with two wins compared to the one from Ole Miss. However, Ole Miss and Penn State have never played in the history of either program.
Ole Miss, fresh off an Egg Bowl win over arch-rival Mississippi State on Thanksgiving, is hungry for another opportunity to showcase Rebels Football to the rest of the country. During the four years under Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss Football has reached the ten-win mark twice, with New Year Six Bowls to brag about on the recruiting trail. Ole Miss brings a high-octane octane explosive offense to the 2023 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl against a steady Penn State team that has not seen the firepower in the Big 10. The matchup with Penn State will be interesting to watch as the Rebels will look to overpower their foe from up north with the Lane Train.
Ole Miss and Penn State will kick things off on December 30th with an early kick.
