Taking a look at how Lane Kiffin is going ALL IN for the 2024 Ole Miss Football season

Year three of the Lane Kiffin era brought the Ole Miss Rebels one of the most magical seasons in school history. With an added cherry on top, Ole Miss dominated Penn State in the 2023 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl to secure lofty expectations for the 2024 season. Add the success in 2023 with the transfer king in Lane Kiffin doing what he does best, bringing the best talent to Oxford to give the Rebels the best chance at not only competing in the Southeastern Conference but, more importantly, on the national stage.

Not sure about the sustained part of the success, but the Rebels have gone all in on the 2024 season to the season for Ole Miss to win their first National Championship since 1962. With an expanded Playoff on the horizon, Head Coach Lane Kiffin asked the Rebel Nation to donate to the Grove Collective to give him and his staff endless resources to build Ole Miss into a contender overnight.

The two losses for Ole Miss in 2023 came to Georgia and Alabama, both on the road. In 2024, Ole Miss will host Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs but will not play Alabama unless in the Southeastern Conference Championship game in Atlanta, Georgia. From the outside looking in, from a scheduling point of view, even if the Rebels lose to Georgia at home, they should finish in the top three of the Southeastern Conference with one conference loss and an undefeated non-conference slate giving the Rebels a top-twelve ranking, a bid to the College Football Playoffs.

For Coach Kiffin and his staff, 2024 is about unfinished business. Coach Kiffin spent time under the greatest coach in college football, Nick Saban. Coach Kiffin learned to be successful. You must adapt to the times and continue to lead your program into an ever-changing future of college football. Adapt is what Coach Kiffin has done. He has gotten the best players in the transfer portal and got the right guys to stick around from the 2023 season, creating a buzz around the program that only the elite have in early January.

The talent is there, but Coach Kiffin faces the challenge of molding this team into one unit to win a National Championship. From a talent standpoint, Ole Miss has one of the most elite rosters heading into the 2024 season than anybody. It’ll be crucial for the Rebels to have a successful spring football season to help build the stepping stones to take the next step next fall.
