If not now for Texas A&M Baseball, then when?

Texas A&M returns to Omaha for the College World Series for the 8th time in the program, the second since 2022. However, this time around, many Texas A&M fans feel that this might be the year to finally break through and not only reach the championship series but also have a shot at winning a national championship. If there were ever a year for the Aggies to break through and get over the hump, it would be this year.

Despite Braden Montgomery’s injury, the Aggies have one of the best teams in Omaha. Texas A&M has an explosive offensive that can rally from any deficit to overcome adversity.

In their first game of the 2024 College World Series, Texas A&M will face a familiar foe in the Florida Gators. A Florida team that many are comparing to the 2022 Ole Miss Rebels team that went on an unreal run in the NCAA Tournament, eventually winning the National Championship. Texas A&M and Florida met in Gainesville in early March, a series that the Aggies took two out of three from a struggling Gators team.

Saturday’s game between the Aggies and Gators is a chance for Texas A&M to start the College World Series off on the right foot with a massive program win to position them to make a run at the Championship series.

Since 2011, Texas A&M has reached the College World Series but only won one game, ending each trip in disappointment with empty trophy cases and broken dreams. With a new horizon appearing, the Aggies face a situation this year where the expectations are to win a few games and compete for a National Championship.

If not now, then when?

Two of the last three National Champions from the Southeastern Conference crossed the threshold in Omaha; the Aggies hope to do the same next week.

According to many betting sites, Texas A&M has the second-best betting odds to win the 2024 College World Series. If the Aggies can’t get the job this year, then the question shifts to doubt and despair as they continue their chase for an NCAA Championship in baseball.

Texas A&M will open the 2024 College World Series on Saturday night against the Florida Gators. The first pitch is on deck for 6:00 local time with a national television audience on ESPN.
