On a day almost right out of a book, the Mississippi State Bulldogs welcomed Queens to Dudy Noble for game two as the Bulldogs looked to take the series over the Queen Lions.
Mississippi State won game one of the series on Friday by a margin of 9-4 over the Lions. Noah Sullivan and Hunter Hines both homered in game one against Queens, adding to the nine runs scored by the Bulldogs in game one on Friday.
Pico Kohn would give the Bulldogs six excellent innings of pitching on Friday, striking out nine batters while giving up four hits on three runs. Nate Williams would take over in the 7th inning, giving the Bulldogs two innings with five strikeouts. Luke Dotson would come in to close the door on Queens in the 9th to take game one 9-3 for the Bulldogs.
As Saturday rolled around, Mississippi State would look to play off the momentum from the game one 9-3 winner over Queens on Friday for another win on Saturday to secure the final weekend non-conference series of the year.

Mississippi State jumped out early on Queens with a two-run second inning to make it 2-0 Bulldogs at the end of the second inning. Queens would cut the lead to one in the top half of the third inning. A three-run fourth inning headlined by Aaron Downs and his two-run bomb that extended the lead to 5-1 over Queens. Aaron Downs would do it again with another two-run shot to the Left Field Lounge to make it 7-1 in favor of the Bulldogs in the bottom of the 6th. Bryce Chance would have his shot with a two-run shot to the Left Field Lounge to extend the Mississippi State lead to 9-1 with two outs in the bottom of the 6th inning. Mississippi State would add another run to make it 10-1 in favor of the Bulldogs before Queens would add a run in the end to make it 10-2.
Ben Davis got the start for the Bulldogs on Saturday; Davis finished the day with six innings pitched, four strikeouts, one hit, and one run. Ryan McPherson would get the mound in the top half of the 7th inning. McPherson would give the Bulldogs the 7th inning with nothing for Queens. Mikhai Grant would get the mound in the 8th to keep the Lions off the board. Duke Stone would come in the 9th to close the door on the Lions to secure the series for the Bulldogs on Saturday.
Mississippi State will go for the sweep on Sunday, with a first pitch slated for 1:00.
