On a beautiful day for baseball in Norman, Oklahoma, the Mississippi State Bulldogs would take on the Sooners of Oklahoma in game two of the three-game series, as the Bulldogs look to take a massive road series with a win over the Sooners on Saturday.
Last night, Mississippi State took game one 2-1 on Friday night behind an incredible performance from Pico Kohn and the rest of the Bulldogs pitching staff.

Needing a win on Saturday to clinch a massive road series, the Bulldogs turned to the Saturday starter, Ben Davis, to see if he could find the momentum that Pico did on Friday night. However, the offensive firepower from the Sooners exploded early, taking a 7-0 over the Bulldogs through two innings. Mississippi State went to the bullpen in the second, bringing in Evan Siary to stop the onslaught of Sooner runs to give the Bulldogs a chance at a late-game rally. Siary would give the Bulldogs three innings, giving up four hits on three runs while striking out one Oklahoma batter.

Despite a 7-0 deficit at the end of the 2nd inning, the Bulldogs would battle back with five runs in the top half of the third to cut the Sooners lead to 10-5. Before adding four more runs in the 4th to cut the lead down to 10-9 in favor of the Sooners. From there, one run in the 5th and one in the 7th would give the Bulldogs a slight 11-10 lead over the Sooners, but Oklahoma tied it again at 11 in the bottom half of the 7th inning. Oklahoma would add a two-run bomb off the bat of Dawson Willis to take a 13-11 lead to the 9th inning. That two-run home run from Dawson Willis would be too much for the Bulldogs as they go three up and three down in the 9th to drop game two of the series.
Mississippi State and 10th-ranked Oklahoma will play in a rubber match for the series on Sunday.
