2021, the College Football season that brought us all together as one

Well, another successful College football season is behind us, and we have a new National Champion in the Georgia Bulldogs, who, for the first time since 1980, can call themselves champions. Not only is seeing the Georgia Bulldogs win the national championship something to be celebrated, but this college football season was something that even the most novice of fans can sit back and appreciate. We had full stadiums again, tailgating was back, and college football was college football again.

Despite a little bit of outside noise from a few media folks, this season went off without a hitch and, in all honesty, could go down as the most memorable college football season of all time.

This season was much more important than any other college football we’ve ever seen. We saw the resurgence of the love fest that Americans from all walks of life have for their schools and college football. Almost every stadium in America had a near sell-out experience this season. We had a record number of folks making postseason trips and selling out bowl stadiums across the country. College football fans were hungry for something to bring us together through the turmoil of the last two years. What’s crazy to think about, it didn’t matter if you wore a mask to the game or decided that wasn’t your thing. College football brought unity and healing across the country.

It didn’t matter if you bark like a dog or throw your horns up; what college football did for the country this season will forever go down as a miracle.

Not only was the fan experience itself something magical, but the action on the field across the country was something only found in the movies with heart-stopping upsets, to unrivaled fan support, to even a possible new dynasty being born.

What we saw this season on the field was the combination of a wicked storm that had been brewing for years and will forever shape the sport of college football for years to come. When we look back on this past season, I think what folks will realize the most, is the fact that if Cincinnati can break through and make it to the College Football Playoffs, then anybody else in the country has the same shot. No matter the size of the school, the budget, or the amount of 5 star recruits on campus, with a little luck and dedication the moon is limit.

Sure, we hate to see this season come to an end, but let’s take a moment to say thank you to college football. Without college football, all of us would have been hurting. There’s just nothing like college football season, even when it comes to a close. This season was magical and will forever go down in the history books as one of the greatest seasons to ever happen.

To College Football, thank you for an incredible season filled with memories that will last a lifetime.
