Like in College Football, the South runs the sport of College Baseball. Everywhere you look, you can see the sheer excitement from fans across the country for this upcoming 2022 College Baseball season. The last two seasons were strange for everybody, but we finally have a sense of normal with the upcoming season, and College Baseball is back better than ever before.

For nearly a decade, with the outpouring of support with money and attendance, College Baseball in the South has become almost as exciting and breathtaking as Baseball at the Pro level, and it’s evident in the product on the field, leading to Opening Day environment as we will see on Friday.

However, this season of College Baseball will have a little extra for all involved as for the first time in nearly two seasons, College Baseball will be returning to its normal glory. Teams will be allowed to play their mid-week schedules and will be without the weekly irrational Covid testing that plagued Baseball last season.
Not to mention, Full Stadiums are back, and College Baseball fans are more than ready to get back into the gates to cheer on their respected teams. So much so, that schools like, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and others have all sold out of their ticket allotment for the weekend. College Baseball experts are expecting to see record breaking attendance numbers this weekend as friends and family gather as one once more.

If you’re new to College Baseball and the idea of Opening Day, has you thinking about sitting in a gigantic ballpark with folks you don’t know, then the idea of College Baseball might seem a bit foreign, but fear not, imagine the most insane College Football environment with the tailgating, then scale that down by a notch and you will have a normal weekend of College Baseball in the South.

There is truly nothing in the Baseball world like Opening Weekend of an SEC Baseball program, sit back and enjoy the ride! This weekend is only the start of the marathon to Hoover and Omaha. Grab a cooler of your beverage of choice, load the charcoal grill up in your vehicle, grab a few pounds of meat and make your way to the College Baseball stadium of your choosing this weekend.
