Celebrating the past and embracing the future, inside the Cotton States Baseball League

Deep in the heart of Northeast Mississippi, a baseball league steeped in Southern culture, the Cotton States Baseball League has been around in some capacity since 1903. The CSBL started as a development league for the MLB as a Class D for young players to develop into MLB stars in the early 1900s. Over 100 years later, with the help of Frank Dodds and Sam Creekmore and others, the Cotton States Baseball League has evolved into one of the premier baseball summer league stops for players from all around.

Endorsed by baseball legends John Cohen, Don Kessinger, and more, the Cotton States Baseball League enters its 15th season with excitement levels at an all-time high. With endorsements and a product on the field that can compete with anything, the Cotton States Baseball League is in the best position it has ever been in to reach generations of baseball talent from across the Southeast.

At the Cotton States Baseball League, players play seven-inning games on the weekend, have a flexible schedule, coach the younger generations, and practice what they need to practice in the summer to improve their skill sets before returning to campus in the fall. The CSBL is the breeding ground for many guys that needed an extra summer of competition before taking the next step in their careers. National Champions and pro players have graced the Cotton States Baseball League, further proving the importance of spending the summer in New Albany, Mississippi, with some of the best talents in college baseball.

Under the leadership of Frank Dodds and Sam Creekmore, the Cotton States Baseball League will continue to build the summer league into something that future generations can enjoy. In talks with them, you can sense the legacy they want to leave more is more than building the CSBL for the future by training young baseball players into men. To Frank and Sam, Cotton States Baseball League is more about pouring into their communities by providing a fun baseball league for the past, present, and future.
